Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, prayers and love as we continue on this journey. On Wednesday February 15th Wyatt's grandpa noticed a knot on his left side. On Friday February 17th we had a visit with our primary doctor who ordered an ultrasound. After these images were taken we went back to the doctor's office who advised that there was a mass and the radiologist thought it looked like cancer. We would soon be on our way to St. Jude in Peoria within a matter of an hour. After more testing we learned that this was a large mass taking up most of his abdomen. The mass was originating from his left kidney. The plan was to remove the mass. Monday February 20th at 2pm sweet Wyatt went in for the hour and a half surgery. Wyatt did very well. They removed the left kidney, left adrenal gland, the entire mass and lymph nodes. Prior to the surgeon removing the mass there was spillage which came from the lymph nodes rupturing. We soon learned that this was indeed Wilms tumor stage III. We are so grateful for our family, friends and friends of friends continued prayers, support and love. We are so humbled you are praying for our sweet Wyatt, his brother Jon , sister Alyssa, dad Rich, mom April and family.
