On  Sunday, August 14, folks were visiting at Murray, Ky. when dad started showing symptoms of a stroke. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital then transferred by helicopter to Vanderbilt in Nasheville. His condition deteriorated on the flight. On arrival there he was taken immediately into surgery. They went in through his groin and up to his brain and removed a clot. They noticed another possible clot, went in again and removed it, then again the third time. As of Sunday evening, movement was very limited on his left side and his speech is affected.
