William Audley

Meet William. He is a loving, caring, and devoted father and husband. His grueling medical journey started 2 years ago, November 2020. Born with a pancreatic divisum, which started causing severe pancreatitis including at least 9 recent hospital admissions over the last two years. What we thought would essentially fix the problem, an ERCP procedure, ultimately failed. However, he was recently approved for a special surgery. This surgery includes a total pancreactomy with islet cell transplant into the liver. While it is great news he qualifies for this surgery, it also comes with many other stressors. The surgery will take place June 17th, 2022 in Minnesota. He will stay in Minnesota for a minimum of 8 weeks. Of course with a big surgery like this, it comes with a hefty price tag even with medical insurance. He lives with constant pain among many other symptoms which makes him unable to work. Every day is a struggle. He reserves all of his energy for the evenings to be with the kids. All of his hospitalizations have left us with over $100,000 in debt. We only have one income at this time with four kids to support. If there is any way you could help whether it be financially or not, even a share of this post would greatly help us! Thank you for taking the time to read about William’s journey.
