Welcome to Dad's CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Dad was diagnosed with cancer again. This time in the right neck area..stage 3. Immunotherapy chemo was suggested and he took one treatment on June 3, 2016. The next day he was very fatigued and began feeling ill afterwards. June 9, 2016 he became quite ill with high fever and coughing. We brought him to MD Anderson ER early in the morning of June 10, 2016 and he was admitted with pneumonia. On June 15, 2016 he was transferred to the telemetry unit due to afib issues with his heart so they could properly monitor him. So we were told the lung cancer caused the pneumonia, pneumonia caused the afib. Then the unthinkable Father's Day night, early June 20, 2016. Dad suffered a mild stroke that affected his right side, speech and swallowing. We're now on the path of recovery. Baby steps each day towards going home.
