Thank you all so much for visiting Bob's Caring Bridge! My mom and I will be working on keeping this updated as often as possible.
For those that may not know, my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that has spread to his liver. We are confident that he is in the best hands possible at Lankenau Hospital and under the care of Dr. John Marks who performed his first life-saving surgery to remove Colon Cancer 15 years ago. As far as we know this cancer is very beatable, and we have no doubt that my dad will come out of this stronger than ever!
He will be having his surgery tomorrow at Lankenau and the surgeons expect it to take the better part of the day. We will update here as we go! Dad will be having the tumor in his colon removed, the cancerous portion of his liver removed, a tummy tuck (Speedo here he comes! 😜) and the surgery will conclude with a Colostomy bag placement. He will be in the ICU tomorrow night, and if all goes well should be out of ICU after a day or so and in the hospital for 1-2 weeks.
