Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Calls and texts messages are always welcome, but we hope this will help keep everyone better informed.

Mom is in Cardiac ICU at Forsyth Medical Center. She was readmitted on Saturday, April 27th for complications from her Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure after a 15 day stay from April 9th - 24th for the same issues.

She has been on a Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) form of dialysis since Sunday, April 28th.

She is making slow but steady progress, and her team of Cardiologists, Nephrologists, Pulmonologists and Nurses are taking excellent care of her here.

She is currently scheduled for a Mitral Valve Clip surgery on May 14th with the hope that it will repair her valve and provide proper blood flow through the left side of her heart and beyond. Her Cardiologist feels that it’s an attainable goal based on her progress these past few days. She will most likely be here at Forsyth through her surgery date.

We’ve scaled back ICU visits to make sure Mom is able to rest and recuperate. She is only allowed 2 visitors at a time. So, if you can, call one of us if you’re planning to visit.

We’ll try to post at least once every day while she is here. Rather than posting to Facebook, we’d like to keep the network between our family and close friends with invites group.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement, which we will be sure to share them with her. ❤️
