Hi everyone, this site is to hopefully keep everyone informed of mom. We will do our best to keep this updated. Mom has so much family that we feel that this will be a great way to try and keep everyone updated. Wr do want to take the time to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONTINUED PRAYER AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS THAT ARE BEING SENT OUR WAY, its greatly appreciated.

On August 2nd, Mom stumbled as she was getting up from her sofa. She fell backwards and hit her ribs on the center of the sofa. She didn't have any bruising so we decided to wait and see. She started getting sore and had a little bruising the following weekend, so we made an appointment for her on August 10th. She had an x-ray which showed a small amount of fluid in her right lung and a hematoma where she fell. She was advised to take deep breaths to ensure her lungs were expanding and come back in two weeks for a follow up.

On August 16th Julie and I had dinner with Mom. She had a massive amount of swelling on her ribs, they were red and warm and were causing her a lot of pain. Her ankles and legs were also very swollen. We decided to be safe and took her to the Brunswick ER. A CT scan showed Mom had necrotizing fasciitis. She was immediately transferred to the Joseph M Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA.
