Virginia moved to The Waters on 50th in August 2015 after a diagnosis of Vascular Dementia which made it increasingly difficult for Virginia to live independently. The family has been working with Ginny's Primary Care team to monitor her cognitive and physical health. While her physical health remains strong, Ginny's cognition continues to decline day by day.
In May 2017 we determined a move to Memory Care would provide the level of caregiving required to suit Ginny's needs. The transition has not been easy, especially the perceived loss of independence. Ginny remains at The Waters on 50th in the Memory Care unit.
The best way to visit Ginny is to call the Concierge at The Waters on 50th at 612-200-9552. An early afternoon visit in the lobby/cafeteria are of The Waters would be most welcome.
