Over Thanksgiving, we were blessed to have an amazing family reunion in Colorado, with lots of laughter and love. But Mom wasn't feeling well, and though she fought to help cook some of our favorites and make it through the dinner, (no one was going to deny her pumpkin pie!) she ended up in urgent care.  Over the next few days, the doctors ran tests and she was admitted to the hospital on Monday, November 28. The preliminary diagnosis was cancer in or around the gall bladder.  She was released from the hospital Wednesday and is staying at Becky's house in Castlerock, CO, until she can travel Saturday and return to Indiana.  The plan is to put together a team of specialists in Indianapolis who will see her on Monday, complete the diagnosis and create a treatment strategy.  Please use this site to keep up with any news (you can even sign up for alerts), send Mom all your good wishes and prayers and give her the opportunity to read those notes at her leisure.  You can imagine that with as many friends and family members that love Virginia, we could be continually taking phone calls or answering emails, and I know you want our complete focus to be on getting Mom well.  Please let Mom and Dad reach out to you as they are able, and use this forum to communicate for the time being.  We'll post when calls and visits are welcome, and when we may need extra support of some kind.

We love you all, and your care and concern mean everything to us.
