My dad was vacationing in Yellowstone with Sean's family.  Yesterday (6/20/16), he was on a trail ride and got bucked off a horse.  He was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Livingston, MT.  He had X-Rays and a CT scan.  It was determined he has broken ribs, a broken hip that requires surgery and a small brain bleed.  He was transported by helicopter to Billings Clinic Hospital and is in the ICU.  He has been talking and alert and in a great deal of pain.  They are monitoring his brain bleed and are repeating CT scans every 6 hours or so.  Sean is at the hospital with him and said the most recent scans show a little more bleeding.  CT scan will be repeated at noon (1:00 CST).  I spoke with his ICU nurse very early this morning, and she said they are controlling his pain and he was able to sleep last night.  Colleen, Clodagh and my mom flew out very early on Tuesday, 6/21 and have just arrived at the hospital.  We will await the next CT scan and see if/when they plan on doing the surgery on his hip.  We are mainly focused and concerned about the brain bleed, and we ask that you keep my dad in your prayers.
