Kurt and I had a beautiful week in Mexico (despite battling foot surgery recovery). We flew home on 3/17 and it was particularly uncomfortable for me since I've been battling with GI tract issues since the foot surgery in January and maybe before that. Who knows if it was connected, but the clavicle spasms went on from Cancun through to Mpls. I woke up on Friday morning 3/18 with even more intense clavicle spasms and lower back spasms. My general doc's office encouraged a direct trip to the ER at North Memorial. The EKG confirmed the good strong heart pumping away but CT scans told another story. My liver is extremely enlarged and full of cancerous tumors. Another golf ball size tumor is sitting in the cecum. So, we spent Fri-Tuesday giving blood, getting tested and biopsied. We are looking forward to some answers on Thursday. We hope to learn where the cancer began and then create a plan to battle it. I'll keep you posted regarding what we find out.
