Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place and to help schedule the care needs of Vickie as she goes through a diffcult season. Vickie is currently homebound due to an injury, which lead to obesity and decreased mobility. She can not ambulate and uses an electronic sit and stand. Vickie has has run into financial problems and became unable to pay her rent and her CNA in-home care. Her desire is to re-gain moblility and improve her health to be able to become more independant. In the meantime, while she awaits the resources that may be available to her, she is in need of assistance with daily care, twice a day. We ask that CNAs and Nurses Volunteer 1-2 hours of their time to help care for Vickie. Adult Protective Services is currently involved and assessing her needs, but this is a way we can make sure she is taken care of until they come through. She is also in need of meal preparation, laundry, and feeding her cat (who mostly hides). If you can assist in any way, please let us know. We will post updates here, with her permission.
