Tom Kostrba

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Tom was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on January 8th, 2018.  He had been dealing with a sore throat for several months, and decided to see a physician after he noticed swelling in the lymph nodes around his neck.  The cancer resides along both sides of this throat and originates from his tonsil area.  He is currently at Mayo in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Cindy.  They are meeting with first class physicians to establish a plan of care that will include chemo, radiation, and probable surgery.  For all of you that know Tom, you know that he is a private person.   We are using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place.   We have been overwhelmed with support, love, and favors from day one.  As Tom starts treatment, his ability to communicate verbally may be impaired.  This website will allow you to follow along his journey of surviving cancer.  We are hopeful and optimistic that this giant amongst men will withstand this speed bump in life.   We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement, keep them coming.
