About a month ago my father was diagnosed with brain cancer.  He was in a hospital in Florida and our mom left to be there.  I was pulled out of my class and told that my dad was in surgery to have the tumor removed.   We did get to fly down to Florida to see if dad was ok.  He was out of the hospital by then and recovering well.  We have some amazing friends who helped get dad a doctors appointment at John's Hopkins as soon as he and mam got back into the state.  After seeing the surgeon, we had a brighter outlook, but unfortunately he developed an infection in his brain. The other day he had the infection removed by having another surgery, and is still in the hospital, on a ventilator.  We have an incredible support system and hope that this is just a setback on the road to recovery.  More updates to follow.
