Todd's fight with cancer started with a cough and weight loss in December of 2015. After a visit to the doctor, he was told he had walking pneumonia.  Still not feeling well, Todd decided to go to the doctor during a visit to Sioux Falls in June of 2016. That's when he was diagnosed with non small squamous cell carcinoma stage 3B. He and Sherry made the decision to move back to Sioux Falls to be closer to family and better treatment options.  After dealing with insurance changes he started treatment in August, radiation and chemotherapy, to target the grapefruit-sized tumor in his right lung.  Initially it appeared that the treatment was working as the tumor had shrunk.  After his first round of treatment ended Todd started having pain in his right femur, so back to the doctor.  The scan in October of 2016 revealed a tumor in his right femur and they later found a spot in his brain and other lung.  He's now stage 4. In January after another scan they found 11 more spots in his brain.  He underwent a series of radiation treatments to his brain and more chemotherapy. After seeing no improvement, immunotherapy was suggested. Todd started that round of treatment February 7th, 2017.

Sherry, being his primary caregiver, hasn't been able to start working since they arrived back in Sioux Falls.  We are raising money to help cover living and medical expenses.  Every little bit helps and will give them one less thing to worry about while Todd fights for his life. Prayers help too!
