Tim LaCasse

Let's face it. The year 2020 has sucked for pretty much everyone, for various reasons. Unfortunately, Tim has not been able to claim exemption. On Sunday, November 29th, his world was flipped upside down when he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma - a form of blood cancer that may also/likely affect his bones via bone marrow.  The Mayo Clinic website says:

"Multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Healthy plasma cells help you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs.  In multiple myeloma, cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells. Rather than produce helpful antibodies, the cancer cells produce abnormal proteins that can cause complications." (To read more, please visit https://tinyurl.com/yyqfqm6o)

While we've been told this is not curable, it IS treatable with various therapies (including chemo) throughout the rest of his life. Tim is fit and healthy otherwise and, if you know him, you know he'll be taking this on with his typical "Tim Standards", not willing to call any project "done" until he's satisfied it's the absolute best it can be.

We'll continue to keep this site updated with information as we get it, so please keep an eye on the Journal entries. Thank you to all for your continued love and support! WE are so fortunate to have you all in our lives!
