On Sept 13th while Tim and Cathy were vacationing in Cabo, Mexico, Tim had a horrible accident.  He dove into the shallow end of the pool cracked his head open and immediately lost all feeling and movement below the waist.  Cathy and her friends Anne and Jamey got Timmy out of the pool called a ambulance and Tim was rushed to Ameri Med Hospital in Cabo.  Test were done.  Timmy had suffered Craneoencefalic Trauma, a spinal cord lesion on his C7 vertebrae, with cervical canal reduction of 30%.  They were told that if Timmy did not have surgery he would not walk again, if he had surgery he would have a 10% chance of walking.  It was at that point we understood how imperative it was to get Tim to the US immediately for the best possible care.  Cathy's brother Joe flew out the next morning to support and help anyway he could, and with the help of many dear friends and family members information and financial resources were gathered to get them out of Mexico.  Tim, Cathy and Joe along with 3 nurses were flown on a private jet to Houston.  They arrived in the early morning hours today.  Timmy has been resting comfortably and is in good spirits.  This morning he had more test and his surgical team has reviewed the results, their outlook much more positive then in Mexico, thank God.  Timmy's parents flew into Houston this evening so he is surrounded by his family.  Tomorrow they will all meet with the surgeon and decide the best course of action for the surgery and rehab.  The surgery will be Friday and last about 6 hours, we will keep you posted as we get information.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, love, and support.  This will be a long road for Tim and Cathy and they will need all us to be there for them.  Please keep sending good thoughts their way and thank you again for all you have done.  Please feel free to send them message below.  Love to all-
PS- I just hung up with Tim, he said Cathy was just rubbing his foot and he could feel it a little bit!!!!!  This is excellent news!
