Tommy (Thomas) is a vulnerable adult with down syndrome. On Monday night, February 5, Tommy was found in a snowbank with a bloody nose. He claimed he had slipped and fallen on the ice while walking home from work. When taken to the hospital, it was clear this was more than just a fall. Tommy had 8 broken ribs, a hairline fracture in his hip, a broken pelvis, broken jaw, broken cheekbone, a puncture lung, and a concussion. He was rushed to the trauma center after nurses noticed his blood pressure lowering due to shock. Police had also discovered tire tracks and car debris near where Tommy was found. A neighbor also claimed to had heard a loud thud around the time of the accident.  All this has made it quite clear Tommy was a victim in a hit and run. I understand how much the neighborhood loves Tommy and wants to help him. This site will serve as our way to update people on Tommy's condition, let people know what they can do to help, and explain where/ what can be donated to Tommy.
