Thanh has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia for a year now. At first his diagnosis was optimistic his primary doctor believes given his age and the disease's early onset an intense round of chemo would place him in remission, and he was. However just before we planned to begin his process to the long road to a bone marrow transplant, we received news that his leukemia had come back. He was no longer in remission. Ever since we have been going through rounds of chemo one round per month for six months now. It has not worked. Now he is not viable for another round of chemo and the doctor has given him a month of life, optimistically.
