Teri Hazzard

What started early August 2019 as a mild stomach ache, quickly escalated into the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. This disease revealed itself when it spread to the liver and stomach. This nightmare is a shock to all of us as Teri appears to be in good health with the same loving, laugh and zeal for life as always. Our hopes of this being a big mistake (praying for miss-reading or mix up of ct scan results) was shattered with the results of a liver biopsy confirming pancreatic cancer.

We have met with several oncologists ranging from Torrance Memorial, Cedars Sinai and City Of Hope, trying to identify the best available medical treatment. We are told surgery and radiation treatments are not options, so we are looking at several types of chemotherapy treatments.

Currently we are working with City Of Hope who might have a trial medical treatment program, which includes immunization therapy, we might qualify for.  The week of Sept 10 is huge for us as we should know which treatment plan we will follow and get started.

Teri is in some pain and discomfort, but has resolved to meet this thing head on and fight like hell. She has significantly changed her diet to reduce/eliminate sugar, carbs, gluten, dairy, soy, corn and include proteins and plant based foods.  She is strong, brave and smart.

We are very blessed to have close family and friends who have overwhelmed us with support, advice and hugs. Prayers for a miracle is what we need now.

I am mad as hell and in this for the long fight.
Oh lord give me the strength to give what Teri deserves.
I love my wife with everything I am.
