Teri Dinsmoor #TeamTeri-Fight Lymphoma

Hello everyone, my name is Teri Dinsmoor. A few weeks ago I woke up with a little crick in my neck as we all sometimes do.  I started to  rub my neck. I found a lump near my left clavicle. I was concerned and set an appointment  with my doctor Dr. Kimberly Pasquale . I was  sent for many tests Ultrasounds, CT Scans, Core Biopsy.  Within 2 weeks of finding the lump and testing I was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I was referred to Dr. Valiant Tan who is now my Oncologist. We immediately put in a medi port for chemo and did a Pet scan and bone marrow biopsy fun fun I tell ya ;) I started my R- Chop  chemo on Monday September 12th 2016. Since starting my Chemo we received my bone  marrow results which were negitive  for that we are very grateful! However with that news we were also given a new diagnoses which is called Double Hit Lyphoma MYC/BCL2 the best I can describe it is that the lyphoma has created a clone. This is very rare of course and will be a little more challenging to treat. We will be meeting with the Doctor next week to learn more. In the meantime I am moving forward like I always do. I am continuing to work at the Downtown Spa and Laser Center as well as Inlet Fitness Spa. My son and nephews have started there football season go VB Mustangs that keeps Saturday's  very busy . I have some truly amazing friends who have really stepped up to help with meal planning and fundraising. I can't express what this means to our family at this time every little thing helps. I appreciate all the many prayers and kind words and will update as we move forward with kicking this Cancers #ss!!!
