Welcome to our CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
In January, I found a lump in my groin and a biopsy proved it carcinoma but not the primary source. from there I started scan after scans. PET, MRI, CATScan, Ultrasound and blood tests galore.
the only thing showing up in the scans was the lump in my groin and it was the size of a small plumb.
had surgery to remove the lymphoid from my groin and biopsied two more from the neck (that were benign), an endoscopy, colonoscopy, D&C where there was a total of 12 more biopsies from within and a port installed in my chest for chemo. All of which had nothing else to show. The lymphoid from the groin proved to be 90% carcinoma and after 144 stains still doesn't reveal the primary source.
I then headed to Medford for a second opinion immediately following by going to OHSU for 3rd opinion from the big guy himself up there. He will be performing a mechanical hysterectomy on the 11th of August either here in Klamath or over the hill in Medford. It seems to be logical that it stemmed from that area if we had to guess and we do.
I am healthy in every which way and am trying my best to get out of this ordeal without chemotherapy. He "the big guy" recommended I start chemo this last week. I personally am holding out until we see the results after surgery. there's always a small chance of the "primary" shriveling up and dying and sending out a last chance effort to live making something like what they found in my groin. The don't have a scientific explanation for this, I refer to it as a blessing 🙏
I'm sending out invites through Caringbridge as to not post all this stuff in a public forum. if I invited you and you don't care to be here there is no offense in leaving the page.
