April 29, Pam's surgery scheduled at 11:30pm for approximately 5 hours.
From Danny at 4:10PM....

Pam had her surgery today.
Dr Stephens said Pam’s operation went fine.
During the procedure he took 15 biopsies of the lymph nodes, said it did not appear to have any tumors. Because of the microscopic size of cancer, we have to wait until the results come back in about a week to confirm this. This is when we find out what stage the cancer is in.
He remove the upper lobe of the left lung, said that there was a small infection going on in the lung. He did not seem too concerned about this since this portion of the lung was removed. In addition, the tumors had started to affect the chest wall around the tumor area. He successfully removed this area of chest wall as well and appear to removed it all.
The Doc said that there is a 1 in 3 chance that there may be chemo/radiation treatment. We will find out later.
She will be going to recovery and then moved up to ICU on the forth floor at Alaska Regional.
Thank you all for your support.
