Our friend, Charlie Gerike, aka Cheesus is battling a very rare form of cancer. 
(Many of you know him as the long time Spicoli's Security and Door Guy.) 
In the last few months, he was diagnosed, had surgery, was referred to Iowa City and is now facing extensive surgery. 


Charlie's cancer is so rare that none of his doctor's have ever seen it before, and only one has seen anything close. 
Fortunately, there are a team of cancer professionals dedicated to both saving Charlie's life, but also learning as much as they can to they help others in the future. 
Unfortunately, the first surgery was not successful in completely removing the cancer, and Charlie is facing extensive surgery after the holidays. 


This page will be his way of keeping his friends and family updated as he progresses, and his friends' way of putting together a Benefit concert before his surgery. 


He will be unable to work for at least 12 weeks post surgery, and possibly longer. This group will help keep the information organized and allow all of us to stay in contact with Charlie throughout his battle.
