For the last month or so, Taylor has been experiencing knee pain. After multiple visits to his pediatrician, an MRI revealed a lesion on his knee. The determination was made that it was unfortunately Osteosarcoma; a type of bone cancer that commonly affects children between the ages of 10 and 20. This rare and aggressive cancer requires us to hit the ground running. On Tuesday, Taylor will be admitted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. A biopsy will be done to determine the type of Osteosarcoma, and what stage the cancer is at. He will begin chemotherapy immediately. Taylor is a fighter, and he has a great attitude. While we are all obviously scared and a bit numb, we know that God is watching over Taylor. We know Taylor is fortunate to be in Minnesota where he will have access to some of the best doctors in the country, maybe even the world. Our mantra is one day at a time. We ask for you to pray for Taylor in his fight against this horrible disease. Blessings and love, Kirsten, Peter and Nate
