I am 34 years old, married and have two beautiful kids, Isaiah is 5 years old and Everly is 7 months old. I was just diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. We just found out that I am a carrier of the BRCA 1 gene mutation. This definitely changes things up a bit now. Right now my focus is on starting chemo therapy to kill this nasty caner that is still in my body so I can prepare for my mastectomy. I still feel like all of this is a bad dream and I will wake up soon, I never thought in a million years I was at risk for this! I never even suspected my family could carry a cancer gene mutation and I would be facing a pretty serious and aggressive cancer at 34 years old with two small children, life can really throw you some curve balls that you aren't expecting!
