Mom and Kelly were visiting me here in Texas April 5-12th and her stomach was very uncomfortable after she ate. It had been going on for about a month. Her taste buds were off too. We were perplexed but knew something was wrong. Her energy was low and she wasn't feeling like herself. When she arrived back home, Dad took her to the doctor for tests and they discovered a 5 cm tumor on her pancreas during a CAT scan on April 20, 2016. No one wants to hear the words stage 3 pancreatic cancer. At this point we don't have definite answers or what the next step is other than keeping her comfortable and getting her strength back up. Mom has been so active and healthy all her life, it will be a big change to sit down and rest for her. She is precious to all of us who know her and we love her with all of our hearts. Please keep Mom and Dad in your prayers. Jen for all of us.
