On Saturday April 8th 2017 Susan passed out while in the shower and fell. When she fell she struck the tub with her chin and broke her neck at her C6 and C7. She lost feeling in her lower end and could not move her legs and hands. She was flown by helicopter from our home in Calvert Co Md to Shock Trama center in Baltimore Md. They did many test including an MRI and determined she needed emergency neck surgery to fuse her C6 and C7 together. They took her in to the O.R. at 725 pm and was done around 1030. The surgery went well but they told me they might have to do a 2nd surgery Sun morning. The good thing was early Sun morning The Doc called me and said there was no need for the 2nd surgery. That is Susan's story on how she got here but the story is not over long road to recovery so just stay tuned.
