Su McEvoy Susan Michele McEvoy

To all in the world who love Su McEvoy, she needs your thoughts and prayers.  In early August, Su started experiencing headaches and a pain in the base of her neck.  Later in the month, while hiking with Dana and family, she started experiencing balance and cognitive issues. A trip to the Glenwood Springs hospital revealed awful news.  Scans showed tumors in her brain. 

Her family quickly arranged for Su, Dana, and immediate family to travel to Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital-the leading cancer institution in the nation. She is in the hands of cancer experts and surrounded by family. 

This CaringBridge page is set up to share any news on Su’s condition and to allow you to share with her whatever your heart holds.  Su has been trying to update the Caring Bridge site to keep people who want to be informed, of daily progress. And, progress it is! After six weeks, surgery to remove the largest, most dangerous tumor, and 15 days of intensive radiation treatments to her brain, Su is readying to return to Colorado where she will embark on a drug therapy, physical and emotional recovery and just get back to living! Oh, and then there's that dog-Bodhi, who she hasn't seen in 6 weeks!
Much of the treatment has not been covered by Su's health insurance. Early on, family set up a Go Fund Me account under her name, (Susan Michelle McEvoy), and they have been fully supportive of the majority of treatment costs, a 6 week hotel stay in downtown Boston, food and taxis. You are welcome to still donate as she moves into the next phase of treatment.
