Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. On Friday, March 4, 2016, we learned that mom has small-cell neuroendocrine lung cancer. This is a fast growing, fast spreading cancer. We have had many ups and downs over the weekend but in the end we have peace and KNOW that God has a plan and that his plans are good-even when we dislike them ; ) The good news is that the cancer is only in her mediastinum area at this point, all scans are currently negative for any tumors elsewhere. Mom has chosen to give chemo a shot and is on day 3 of that. Power Port is in place, which will reduce needle sticks and blown veins from heavy duty drugs! We are happy for God's mercy and grace in the midst of the storm and thankful for our family that surrounds us with prayers and love!
