On Thursday,  December 21 at about 6PM we received a call from her doctor with news of a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.   She had been at the Mayo earlier in the day for what we thought would be routine blood tests.     He asked that we return that evening so she could  be admitted to the hospital.


We didn't have time for a lot of detail but the doctor was very clear.   "This is Acute Leukemia" and that she needed to be in the hospital quickly in case she needed attention.


We know and appreciate our friends and family wanting to be informed and will keep this updated periodically.
