NOTE:  the donation on the front page is for Caring Bridge.  We are not seeking any donations for us.

Welcome to our Caring Bridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Hopefully it is not impersonal; it is an easy way to keep everyone updated and informed.  it is also a way for you to send thoughts and messages.  Thanks so much for the amazing out pouring of love an support!

A week ago we were at the house when Steve suddenly said "somethings wrong"  He had ringing in his ears, blurry vision and slurry speech.  He sat down and I called 911 immediately.  The next few hours were a blur, After the ambulance left, the neighbors took me to Memorial where it was decided to move Steve to San Francisco to Cal Pacific Medical Center.  He was admitted to ICU and had a drain inserted.  He was diagnosed with a hemorrhagic stroke and the key was to remove the excess fluid.

Erin and Nick have been with me and Steve's brother Marty came down for a few days from Wyoming.    Steve is still in ICU, somewhat alert and slowly improving. He has also had some PT and OT. Cognition and memory is doing well and the rest is a day by day process.  He will definitely need rehab and physical therapy.  Next big step is to get the drain out and start the rehab process.

Now that this site is up; we will up date often. A huge thanks for all the Care and Concern.  The Love is amazing and healing for us all.
