In March 2016 Steve was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. His greatest desire was for everything to remain normal/ So we put the disease and prognosis, doctors visits and treatments "in a box" and went about the business of living. It has been a great 15 months filled with friends and family and continuing contributions in the professional and civic arenas.
In addition to our great team at MUSC in Charleston, we have consulted specialists at Dana Farber, MD Anderson, and Johns Hopkins. No stone unturned. Steve has had three lines of treatment including an immunotherapy trial at Johns Hopkins. Now it seems that the
