Hi,  Update adventure #3. First and most important thank all of you for all the kind, caring and encouraging words you have posted on this website and sent to my by private email.  You have no idea what a  pat on the back can do to help from day to day.  Thanks again to ALL of you, it is truly amazing. Yahoo ! !   Yipee !   As of Friday I made it one half way though all the radiation and chemo - now that is reason to celebrate in my book.  After meeting with Dr. Fernandez (radiation doctor ) on Wed. and Dr. Kumar's nurse on Friday the results are I am doing pretty darn good with it all. All my counts were good, but they all have to put in that wonderful disclaimer - it is going to get tougher.  DNAG!  Hope we can improve on that.  At least every day that is a good day isn't and icky one so I am good.    Had a diarrhea issue  on Monday,(or as my mom would say the backyard trots, thank that came from the days of the outdoor privies, glad I didn't have to make that trip) but thanks to more medication got it under control in time to get to Jake's baseball game and watch them win.  Talk about blessed.  Just need to get those Angels to follow suit.  The week was filled with daily radiation, some rehab, doctor appointments, Reiki treatments, and practicing survival skills. Laurie and Jake came out on Wednesday and had supper with me and mowed and did yard work.  I do believe that Laurie is a workaholic . Spiffed up the place outside.  Hard to not be able to do what you would like and what you want to do.  Got a picture of Greg's new bicycle he will ride to and from work.  Pray those CA drivers watch out for him and him for them.  You'll love this.  I was showing it to Jake and Abby and I said, "his bike has no fenders".  Abby said, "what are fenders?" and Jake said "none of our bikes have fenders",   Well let's see where in the heck have I been the last _ _ _ _  few years?  Got to eat out with friends a few times.  The doctors/nurses say the more I can do the things I like and always have done the better.  So guess that means clean up the house and mop my kitchen floor today.  So better sign off and do something constructive.  Thank you all for being my caring bridge friends.   Love Sondra     Still too Blessed to be Stressed.  :  )
