Welcome to to our website. In creating this we hope to keep all of our family and friends updated on Shylah"s condition, and progress through this medical journey. For the people that don't already know what happened, he is a brief explanation of what is going on. On 3/11/18 We took shylah in for some breathing issues that she was having. Upon receiving care at the er she was diagnosed with RSV and was transported to the pediatric ICU for care. Upon examination she received a cat scan to make sure there was nothing wrong with her brain as the spinal tap and blood work she received showed signs of a possible infection. the results of the scan were not good at all. the results showed signs of a stroke on the back part of her brain. She was the taken for an MRI which confirmed those results. That night she started to have seizure activity and was placed on an EEG machine. Throughout the test it was noted that her seizure activity was at least 1 every hour at 4 to 5 minutes in length. We were transported to the childrens castle for better care and further testing. she is currently on a breathing machine and is still having seizure activity, however is stabalizing every day. Castiel and I appreciate your prayers and kind words for our daughter.
