On April 23, 2020 Shirley was taken to the ER with abdominal pain. They found out that she had minor pneumonia in one lung and a bowel obstruction. Both could be treated easily with antibiotics and some IV fluids. She was admitted for further observation of the obstruction.
Her GP doctor worked with a cancer doctor to fully check her over. They did scans and found that there were a couple new spots that appear to be cancerous in her body. They have decided as a medical team that it wouldn’t be good for Shirley to undergo cancer treatments or even biopsy’s to determine the aggressiveness of her cancer. She is back at her current care facility, receiving comfort care. We will be updating this page often so that people can have up to date information about her health.
