Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. We would like this story to be shared and hope it encourages people to stay up to date with their annual screenings. Early detection is a key factor in cancer survival stories.
Sherri was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 24, 2017 after her routine mammogram. She has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma that is estrogen and progesterone receptor positive and HER2 negative (good news!). Her treatment plan starts with 16 rounds of chemo spread over 20 weeks. The first 4 rounds will be the most aggressive with 2 different types of chemo. Thankfully, she has had minimal side effects so far. Sherri will have a double mastectomy and six to eight weeks of radiation after she completes the chemo regimen. She has a long journey ahead of her, but her faith in God is so strong. She knows the treatment plan has a CURE at the end.
