Welcome, family and friends.  
This CaringBridge site has been created to help keep things a bit more simple. It is important to us that you know we appreciate you, and that you know that you're always welcome to check in with us individually. We want to keep you updated, but it can be challenging for Shelly to keep up with texting and phone calls. In order to save some energy for her, we ask that you get general updates here. 
In June of 2021, Shelly was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Due to the growth rate, shape, and size of her tumors, the doctors have helped us move extremely quickly since diagnosis. By July of 2021, we started biweekly chemotherapy treatments with double doses of their strongest treatment. After this treatment, the plan brought us to a less aggressive weekly chemotherapy. The second round is a 12 week cycle. Shelly's Oncologist is wonderful, and we have met many kind nurses and other team members along the way.  
As we continue this journey, we will keep you updated through this site. In the event that this page isn't answering your question, Lily and Emma are happy to help and to update you! Thank you for visiting our site. We love you, and we cannot tell you how helpful it is to have your support. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in not directly contacting Shelly for progress updates and referring to this caring bridge site or reaching out to Lily or Emma.
