We have been overwhelmed with calls and texts and hope that  this website can inform everyone and keep us in contact with all of you....

So...my Mom got a cold, maybe the flu. Less than a week later, she went to the Doctor and got an antibiotic and some cough syrup.  She wasn't getting better. The next day Nina took her to the ER. From there it's been a bit of a blur... She had pneumonia that went septic. Then septic shock. Third degree heart block. Congestive heart failure. Respitory failure. Liver enzymes high.... A helicopter ride, 2 hospitals, breathing tube and temporary pacemaker. And here we wait for her to get better.....lungs are weak. Heart has damage. She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. But we have a great team of doctors and look forward to the treatment plan and procedures required to assist in her healing.  

There will be a long recovery and rehab before she gets to come home and we can only hope  that the pneumonia clears and her lungs strengthen quickly.

I will  update as things change and will respond to your emails and posts. We respectfully request no visitors at this time. Mom is pretty fragile and and isn't quite ready for company and stimulation just yet. 

Thank you you all for your concern, prayers and kind gestures. 
We appreciate all of you that have sent gifts, meals, cards, and helped with our kids and housework while Nina  and I take the time to stay at the hospital and be with our mom.  Although we love the flowers they are not allowed in the cardio ICU rooms. 

Please utilize this website to obtain updates and contact us. We have been overwhelmed with calls and texts and trying to respond. If we don't get back to you timely, it's only because we are extremely busy with doctors and being with my mom and trying to balance everything in between, work, kids, etc.
