Shae Sallas Shae's Independence Fund

She has one of the healthiest appetites for liberty I've ever seen. Ever since she could form a sentence as a toddler, it was "my do it!!" and tiny, fierce assertions of daily independence on a schedule. She climbed out of her crib sometimes, for goodness sake! She's used to refusing help. Figuring things out on her own. Taking the scenic route to accomplishment at times. Short-cutting with fierce determination other times.


Her teenage years were no different. But the local economy has fallen desperately ill in her 17th year of life, unlike her still VERY healthy appetite to fly. She's ready to do what she wants, when she wants. Shes saved up over $12,000. She's had multiple, simultaneous jobs since she was 16: babysitting, teaching swim lessons, working as a master mixologist at CNW making coffees & smoothies, plus working in the Spa and dabbling in front desk work. Shes purchased 3 used vehicles all on her own (mostly lemons) depleting her savings. COVID shut down most of her many job positions in the past year. She spent 14 months asking deep questions like, "why?!"...same as many of us. However,  she saw the writing on the wall and enrolled in a  accelerated online program to graduate high school early.  She's a grad now! 2 months early!


I have no doubt that she'd have earned enough capital to move out and fund her own beauty college tuition by now, if it weren't for this £◇€《!%@ pandemic and bad luck with vehicles. If you are half as proud of this tenacious, hardworking young lady as her parents are... you'd lasso the moon for her. Incrementally, we can shift tides. This site is meant to provide a forum for those who are proud of young people like Shae to gift her a congratulatory boost. She's 18 and graduated now,  she really wants to fly but needs some financial wind beneath her wings first.
