Welcome to Seth's Caring Bridge website.  We have created it to help our family and friends stay up to date on his upcoming heart surgery on Monday May 22, 2017 at UCLA with Dr. Richard Shemin.  Now this news may come as a complete surprise to many of you!  After all, Seth seems healthy and happy ( all those Facebook posts keep him happy!).  However, he has had an aortic aneurysm for many many years which has remained stable.  Well....  it has decided to become a bit too large for comfort and it is time to deal with it once and for all!   He will have his thoracic aortic aneurysm repaired, and Dr. Shemin will check the rest of his heart since he is already in there!   In all seriousness, this surgery is not a walk in the park.  Seth will be in ICU for a few days after the surgery and then home recuperating.   This site will be the main source of information on Seth's surgery and his progress.   The hospital will be strict about flowers and visitors while he is in ICU.  Please - if you have any questions comment here and we will answer them!   Once Seth is out of ICU we are certain his first demand will be for his cell phone so he can see your comments!  We promise to keep you updated often!  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
