Since my diagnosis with Acoustic Neuroma back in January, I’ve experienced a roller coaster of emotions. For those that don’t know, Acoustic neuroma is a benign tumor located on the auditory nerve, which connects the inner ear to the brain. While not cancerous, it's important to deal with it because the more it grows, the more damage it can do. As a result, I've scheduled surgery to have the tumor removed on April 4.
It’s because of you all - my family and friends – that I’m able to keep a positive mindset. I like to think of myself as a strong person, but that strength doesn’t come from within. Rather, it’s through support and prayers from others, faith in my doctors, faith in my support system, and most importantly faith that God has a plan! I trust that, regardless of the outcome of my surgery or length of recovery, my wife and son will continue to thrive…and that’s really what’s most important to me.
Surgery to remove Acoustic Neuroma has a high success rate and I’m confident that I’ll be back and better than ever in no time! In the meantime, regular updates will be posted to this site to keep everyone up to date.
