Scott was diagnosed in late January 2017 with a rare form of leukemia--chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). The only cure for this disease is a bone marrow transplant. On August 16th, 2017, Scott received his bone marrow transplant. We were blessed by Scott's brother Marty who was his donor. While the battle has begun, there is still a long road ahead. Scott will remain at Strong Memorial Hospital for up to 30 days and when discharged, must stay home for 100 days. If you wish, cards may be mailed to him at 6307 County Road 32, Canandaigua, NY, 14424. In addition to keeping Scott, Marty, and the rest of the Kesel family in your thoughts and prayers, the most helpful thing that others can do is to donate blood at a local blood drive.
