Hi Friends and Family,

I am writing on behalf of my wife, Sarah Gunter. Sarah has Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease and will need a kidney transplant. We are sharing with friends and family as we are looking for individuals that would be willing to be a potential living donor.

When Sarah was in college, her doctor noticed her blood pressure was consistently high. After many medical tests and visits, she was diagnosed with vesicoureteral reflux. This disorder produces an abnormal flow of urine from the bladder back into the kidneys, causing irreversible scarring. This disorder is usually caught in children, but unfortunately her diagnosis happened too late and there is nothing doctors can do to reverse her condition.

Sarah is currently on the transplant list with only 18% of her kidney function remaining.  That number will continue to decrease.  So far, we have not been able to find a match to be a living donor and the wait time for a deceased donor can be up to 7 years.  We are hopeful to find a living donor as the wait time, chance of a successful transplant, and survival rate, are much better.

We are asking any friends and family members that are willing to be a potential donor to fill out the survey in the link below:

     - Please make sure you choose "Named Recipient" under "Donor Type"
     - Sarah Gunter
     - DOB: 08-20-1985

We understand this is one of the biggest things we can ask for from our loved ones and becoming a donor has many implications. Sarah and I are incredibly grateful for you, and we cannot put into words how much your support, thoughts, and prayers mean to us.

**no monetary donations needed

With love and gratitude,

The Gunter's
