Thanks for visiting our Caring Bridge site! We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place during Santi's journey. He started showing symptoms on Wednesday 7/5/2017 and the pediatricians (and Grandma Fenton!) did a great job of quickly identifying the need for Santi to go to the hospital for further evaluation on Friday 7/7/2017. Santi was admitted to the U of M Children's hospital where he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B cell). This is the most common and lowest risk form of leukemia in children that has great options for treatment.
