Ryan Zimmerman Ryan's Road to Recovery

First post: Jun 22, 2017 Latest post: Jul 10, 2017
Ryan Zimmerman (known by many nicknames!) was in a horrible motorcycle accident on Monday, June 12, 2017. He is suffering from multiple facial/skull fractures (including left eye socket and temporal bone in right ear). He also broke his collar bone and has a fracture in his skull base. His spleen ruptured and he had emergency surgery to remove it. The worst damage is the trauma to his brain which could take years of recovery. Ryan is still in the Head Trauma ICU at Shock Trauma and is awaiting multiple surgeries. He just started working with the Local 22 Union and landed an excellent job. Unfortunately, his benefits had not gone into effect yet. Our family was dependent upon his income. His wife, Tracey, suffers from Crohns Diease, Fibromyalgia, and Lupus. She had to retire early from the federal government due to her disabilitiesand receives a limited retirement disability pension. This unfortunate accident will have a major financial, physical and emotional impact to the family. Any support is counted as a blessing as it will help, with medical bills, living expenses and additional expenses related to Ryan's care. God bless all of you and we thank you for your support!
