Robert Marks

Welcome to Robert's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep Robert's family, friends and co-workers updated and in one place.  Robert noticed numbness and tingling in his hands and feet along with the inability to recall certain words in conversation shortly before Thanksgiving 2016.  Those symptoms progressed and he went to an ER the last week of November.  Multiple tests including MRI and CAT scans showed a 3 cm growth on the left side of his brain.  He had surgery to have it removed on December 1st. While the surgery went well, the biopsy showed that the tumor was a glioblastoma (GBM), a malignant and aggressive type of tumor.  Robert is currently working on therapy to improve his speech after the surgery and planning on irradiation and chemotherapy treatments to delay the effects of the tumor's recurrence.
