Welcome to Rudy Villarreal's CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep all of Dad's friends and family updated. We are so grateful for all of the prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement during this difficult time. We will be sure to post any significant updates regarding Dad's progress on this site.
For those who may not know, Dad was admitted to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Memorial on the evening of his accident on Sunday, March 20, 2016. He underwent facial reconstructive surgery at Memorial on Tuesday, April 5th. On Thursday, April 7th, he was moved to the Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Corpus Christi, where he is now resting. Please feel free to visit him. He is currently in ICU room 6. He can have visitors anytime with the exception of 6:00-8:00 am and 6:00-8:00 pm. Unfortunately, children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the hospital rooms.
We would like to thank everyone for all of the prayers and support we have received from so many people. Dad has such a huge network of family and friends who love and care for him so much. As we all know, Dad makes friends wherever he goes, and with everyone he comes in contact with. Words alone can't convey the gratitude we have for everyone who has been there for him.
I'm sad to say that as of today, Monday, 4/11/16, he has not regained consciousness since his accident. We are hopeful that he will come around soon. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
