Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

For those of you who don't know the full story, Joyce fell from a ladder while cleaning her closet on July 2nd. She broke her tibia and fibula. Plates and screws were inserted into her leg during a significant surgery at St. Vincent's hospital. She is now in a rehab facility at Copper Trace (1250 West 146th Street, Westfield, IN 46074). During all of this, Ron developed a serious case of pneumonia. After admitting himself to the hospital on July 9th, he was transferred to the ICU and placed on a ventilator. He began a significant treatment regimen on July 15th wherein he was immobilized in a special bed that rotates 360 degrees to ease the pressure on his lungs.

Updates on this site will be made by Ron and Joyce's children: Shawn Richards, Alan Colquitt, and Jason Colquitt.
