I have always loved the Caring Bridge Website.  Two of our friends have had sites in the past.  Both were very ill, and today, both are miracles and doing great after fighting hard against the odds... long uphill battles !  How I loved reading about their progresss on this page.  But I never thought that I would be starting a site of my own, for my husband Gibby, Ron. He goes by both... depends how you know him as to what  you " call" him.  For me, he is my Gibby.  I found him about 16 years ago and that is a story for another time... suffice it to say that was a miracle from God too!   My Gib is sick, after weeks of what we thought was just a bad case of the stomach bug that was going around, we began seeking medical help. At first they all seemed to think  the same as we did, just a bad bug,and when people get older( who us?) it takes longer to kick it.  But sadly,  it wasn't just a "bug."  Gib has pancreatic cancer which has also spread to his liver.  He is not a candidate for surgery at this point.  Monday, he will have a procedure to determine just exactly what the situation is, and from there , a treatment plan will be developed, specifically for him.  There is a possibility that he may be a candidate for a clinical trial. We are praying that is the case!  Feel free to add your prayers if you know Gib, Ron.  We believe strongly in the power of prayer!  We know too, that God  will walk along side of us , each and every step of this difficult journey.
